Discussion 2: Peer Feedback: Communication Portfolio

This week, you will continue to participate in a peer review process where you will envision yourself in a specific role and you will provide feedback through that lens. Your feedback involves giving feedback to your peers. Each week, you will upload your portfolio element completed the week before to the weekly discussion board. You will then become part of a scenario, in which you will be asked to provide constructive feedback to your peers, reflect on what you have learned in the process about the portfolio element, and what you have learned that will help you further improve your own work. Be sure to take time during and after the discussion to reflect on the process and the feedback you gave and received. Also, review the feedback that others provided to your peers for input that might help you further improve your own portfolio element.

 

In this discussion, the agenda’s originator has to take some unplanned personal leave. Although the agenda was completed, the executive team has requested some additional content be included with the meeting. The team now wants to include employee recognition for birthdays and work anniversaries and add time to review customer feedback obtained from completed satisfaction surveys. You must now take your co-worker’s meeting agenda and add in these additional items via Track Changes. In addition, you are allowed to make whatever revisions you deem fit.

 

Assignment:

 

Review & Respond to at least two (2) of your peers’ Meeting Agendas posts in the following manner:

• Using the Microsoft Word Track Changes feature, make the suggested revisions to the meeting agenda. Upload a copy of your new agenda to the discussion board.
• Having last editing rights also means you can make other substantive changes. Discuss any additional changes you made to the original document. If you did not make any other changes, explain why.

In week #4, your midterm project was to provide a security assessment for Vestige, Inc, an online software company that specialize in selling ad spaces in their parent company’s magazine.  Vestige manages an online database that allows their customers to upload and pay for their business ads for magazine placement.  Because Vestige’s database needs to connect to the parent company’s database, the parent company has requested that Vestige system be assessed and verified as secure.

Now that you have provided your security assessment, the next step is to provide Vestige, Inc. with your Security Portfolio. Using this week’s Reading on the NIST framework that includes the 5-step process for creating a balanced portfolio of security products, your assignment will be to create a Security Portfolio with the following sections:

 

1. Cover Page (i.e. APA title page)
2. Background (provide a synopsis your midterm security assessment on Vestige)
3. For each security need identified (or needs to be identified) from your Week #4’s Midterm Assignment, Find the products that will deliver the needed capabilities for the right price, and tell why you chose that product.

This assignment should be about the security needs only.  Do NOT discuss how the client can achieve more business (That is not your job). Please use  APA format and include at least two references.
