Having watched the clip, imagine that there is a master list of characteristics that make a human being a human being (as opposed to a dog, a tree, an angel, or an amoeba). Click the link above to submit three of the things that should be on that list. Then, tell me why you think the characteristics you list belong there. (For example, I might list “the ability to love” as a human characteristic and then justify including it on the list because the way by which human beings make affectionate connections with one another looks and seems different than the ways other animals do. Human beings often love and continue to love by personal intention — like when two people marry each other — while other animals appear to link up only in order to procreate.)
